We’re still on the India Arie train, last week I put up Can I walk with you which is one of my absolute favourite songs and which I have listened to more than a hundred times this week.
One day, I’ll write about what this song by India Arie means to me but today? I’ll be content with sharing the lyrics.
“Can I Walk With You”
I woke up this morning you were the first thing on my mind
I don’t know were it came from all I know is I need you in my life, yeah
You make me feel like I can be a better woman
If you just say you wanna take this friendship to another place

Aloe Blacc has a way of making songs that vibrate my soul. He’s a phenomenal musician and his songs have a lyrical depth that is rare today. My current ring tone is a snippet of The Man and because i like that song a lot, I’m sharing its lyrics.

Yes I am, yes I am, yes I am
I’m the man, I’m the man, I’m the man Continue reading →
