Saul’s Rock… 1

This year seems to be running on a different time scale, I blinked and seven days have already sped by. How has your year been shaping up? Great, I hope.

I’ve decided to be more serious with this space in 2020 and one of the ways I’m going to do that is committing to a posting schedule that ensures that I create content for the blog on set days whether I like it or not. I have to admit that I giggled a little when I wrote ‘create content’, I will write a whole blog post on what I feel about terms like that, maybe it would be the next post. Continue reading →

It’s Refillable

This isn’t the post I’d scheduled for today, I already have 500+ words of a post titled Anywhere which is a love letter of sorts to Passenger who is a British singer/songwriter. I started it after midnight and wrote until OmoT’s battery heroically gave out after nearly seven hours of writing without power- writing and watching YouTube videos (let me say the truth). My new laptop gives me great joy.

The YouTube videos were research for the post though. Sadly, EKEDC didn’t restore power according to their normal schedule of giving us light from a few minutes past midnight to a few minutes past 6am – you can nearly set your watch by it.

Where Is Your God?

This morning I got Isaiah Chapter 36 as part of my scripture reading for today and I had to go on to read the next chapter, the story was that engaging. I also knew there had been letters mocking God that King Hezekiah spread before the altar of God for him to read. I remember that image from My Book Of Bible Stories or was it Uncle Arthur’s Bible Stories? 2 Kings 18 tells the story from the beginning. Continue reading →

Finding my Rainbow

In the biblical book of Genesis, God told a certain man named Noah to build an ark because he was going to destroy the inhabitants of the world by a flood. We all know how the story went, how he gathered all the animals in pairs (even mosquitoes, big mistake Ogbuefi Noah) and the inhabitants of this world met their end in a watery grave.

TOUCH NOT MY ANOINTED?!

Pastor Adeboye’s comments to his members on marriage and the attributes of a “marriageable” woman has sparked up fierce debate in social media and out of it. I think the emphasis on cooking and laziness and length of prayer time is hilarious, I have seen marriages fail with wives who are excellent cooks, harder workers than the average bee and who can conduct their own vigils by themselves. There’s much more to marriage than food and prayer but I am not married, am I? So I’m hardly an expert on marriage 😉
