Because I’m Bad…

I don’t think I’m tired of this blog yet but it’s getting harder and harder to put my thoughts out here and even on social media if I’m being completely honest. I don’t know why this is, why I want to keep my thoughts to myself for the most part, I wonder if I’ll ever be able to regain the freedom to share my thoughts as I did in 2016 especially. I’m going to ramble a little on this post, I’m abandoning order.

Not Throwing Away My Shot…

I have probably listened to the song “My Shot” a hundred times today, it’s a song from Hamilton, the Broadway musical which was recently released as a film and put on Disney+. I wrote a post earlier today and my feelings about the show (I loved it) but as I listen to the song repeatedly, I find myself thinking about the creator of the play who also played the lead character of Alexander Hamilton during the original Broadway run of the play.

Dropwise.

I’m currently watching the film version of Hamilton, started watching it this morning and would have finished it if I wasn’t endlessly going back to watch my new favourite song – My Shot, from the movie as well as googling every character and watching YouTube videos of Lin-Manuel Miranda who created the show, wrote the lyrics and the music to all the songs and played the title character Alexander Hamilton.

Of Choices and Necessary Radios.

Yesterday morning, I braved the now inevitable traffic to Aguda, Surulere to get my hair done by the woman who’s been plaiting my hair for nearly ten years. Because my hair is thick and springy and my scalp is ridiculously tender with a negative pain threshold, getting my hair done elsewhere is nearly unthinkable as she understands how to handle the strands and how to comb it without causing excessive pain.
